This country has invested most in companies and banks, according to the Central Bank of Montenegro data.

One of the major investments of the UAE was the construction of Capital Plaza, in which was invested 140 milion. Also, significant investments in the last two years were investments in the nautical settlement Porto Montenegro in Tivat.

After the United Arab Emirates, second place belongs to Russia (54.7 million), than followed by Italy (47.5 million), Azerbaijan (45 million), Germany (36.3 million).

According to the Central Bank of Montenegro, foreign investors invested most of the money in intercompany debt, which is 219.1 million euros.

As explained by the GDDS, it is a structured system in which IMF member countries are voluntarily committed to improving the quality of data that are collected and distributed through statistical systems over a longer period, for the purpose of making as good as possible macroeconomic analyzes.

“The main goal of GDDS is to help countries develop good statistical systems, with an emphasis on the comprehensiveness, quality and up-to-date data and practice of disseminating economic, financial and socio-demographic data,” the statement said.

GDDS metadata include the fiscal sector and general data of the real, financial and external sectors, as well as socio-demographic data.

He was one of the guests today at the Fair of Social Enterprises, organized by the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Economic Development, where ten non-governmental organizations (NGOs) received grants within the Smart Start project. Mr. Lukavcevic pointed out that Montenegro has not yet started to use all the potentials available to provide social entrepreneurship, assessing that social enterprises are the main driver of social innovation.

The project coordinator of Smart Start, Biljana Sekulic, said that 45 organizations registered in the public call last year had some entrepreneurial activity in order to, as she explained, later turn into a social enterprise.

“The evaluators selected 20 of them, who entered the education program. The team selected ten of them and Smart Start offered them grants . The grants are in the amount of EUR 5 553 and are considered a financial injection. It is a support that will help them to improve their activities and start their business,” explained Sekulić.

She added that non-governmental organizations that received grants will have the support of the mentor, who will work with them.

In the autumn economic forecasts, to which the Mina-business agency had an insight, the growth forecast for GDP grew from three percent, as the EBRD forecast in May.

According to projections, GDP growth for the next year will amount to 3.3 percent, as was the May forecast.

“After a somewhat disappointing growth of 2.9 percent last year, the economy accelerated in the first half of this year, with an estimated growth of 4.2 percent annually,” the report said.

The goal of the project was to strengthen cooperation and links between small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as to strengthen the links and cooperation between cluster companies and support institutions that hold the key to overcoming the problems in business. The activities concerned the joint purchase of raw materials and the joint use of equipment in order to improve the production process.

The project was implemented under the auspices of the International Olive Council (IOC) and the goal of the project was to increase the awareness of the inhabitants of Montenegro and point to the importance of the consumption of olive oil. During the implementation of the project, a number of study visits were conducted, and two surveys were carried out at the beginning and at the end of the project on the habits of the inhabitants of Montenegro, with special emphasis on the consumption of olive oil. The research was done for the first time in Montenegro and the results were published in the study “Life among olives”, which was published in 2000 copies

All winning teams receive expert mentoring support, a trip to the annual International Summit Award for Social Change and start-up capital for starting a business, which is 1.500 Euros from Erste Bank Montenegro and 500 Euros from Coca-Cola HBC Montenegro.

Common to all winning ideas from different parts of Montenegro is a strong social component that shows the commitment to changing the society in which they live. Among the six teams of finalists, the votes of the online community were selected one winner, while the other two winning ideas were decided by the members of the professional jury of the Prize for Social Change.

The victory in the voting of the online community was taken by a team from Ulcinj who proposed an idea called “Keeping pets”, that is, establishing a pets service while the owners are on holiday.

The jury included in the winners a team comprised of students from several cities of Montenegro, who presented an idea called “Sell”, which wants to offer a cheap solution for purifying the air in the homes of the inhabitants of Montenegro living in the polluted environment. And the second winning idea by the selection of the jury has a pronounced component of environmental protection. This is a team of students from Podgorica who presented the idea of ​​”Needle and thread” and want to start the business of creative recycling of old objects, turning them into objects with a new aesthetic and usable value.
