The cultural and creative industries are one of the fastest growing sectors and the main drivers of progress in the economies of developed countries. Recognizing the importance of this sector in the previous period, the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Economic Development implemented the project ‘Development of cultural and creative industries as part of a sustainable economic sector in Montenegro’ with the support of the UNESCO International Fund for Cultural Diversity and in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture.

Between April 2018 and December 2019, the following project activities were implemented: mapping creative industries in Montenegro, assessing economic effects, identifying best practices, and training to improve the business skills of entrepreneurs in this sector. Based on the conducted mapping and analysis of the practices of different countries, we have also prepared strategic guidelines for the development of the cultural and creative industries in the coming period.

In this way, we invite you to take part in a roundtable where strategic guidelines will be presented and give your comments through discussion in order to advance policies in the field of cultural and creative industries in Montenegro.

The roundtable will be held at the Franca Hotel, Muniba Kucevic Street in Bijelo Polje, on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 between 11:00 and 12:30.
