The cultural and creative industries are one of the fastest growing sectors and the main drivers of progress in the economies of developed countries. Recognizing the importance of this sector, the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Economic Development has implemented the project ‘Development of cultural and creative industries as part of a sustainable economic sector in Montenegro’ with the support of the UNESCO International Fund for Cultural Diversity and in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture. The project implemented the following activities: mapping creative industries in Montenegro, assessing economic effects, identifying best practices and trainings for improving the business skills of entrepreneurs in this sector. Within the cultural and creative industries, the following sectors are covered:

  • Museums, libraries and heritage;
  • Music, visual and performing arts;
  • Design;
  • Film;
  • Photography;
  • Architecture;
  • Computer programs and games;
  • Electronic media;
  • Publishing;
  • Advertising and market communications i
  • Artistic and traditional crafts.
