Montenegro has joined the General Data Dissemination System (GDDS) within the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
As explained by the GDDS, it is a structured system in which IMF member countries are voluntarily committed to improving the quality of data that are collected and distributed through statistical systems over a longer period, for the purpose of making as good as possible macroeconomic analyzes.
“The main goal of GDDS is to help countries develop good statistical systems, with an emphasis on the comprehensiveness, quality and up-to-date data and practice of disseminating economic, financial and socio-demographic data,” the statement said.
GDDS metadata include the fiscal sector and general data of the real, financial and external sectors, as well as socio-demographic data.
